WHO ARE WE?

Joe’s been out and about encouraging his local communities to take part in the Big Jubilee Lunch which takes place over the weekend of 2nd-3rd July.

The lunch is part of the official programme of events to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years on the throne and will see neighbourhoods across the North East come together.

Joe said: “The Big Lunch is a fantastic way to make new friends and connect with the people living all around you.”

The event attracted a lot of media coverage which is detailed in our Big Jubilee Lunch topic on our forums.

Joe joins Dionne Warwick and an all-star line-up which includes Cliff Richard, Boy George, Rumer, Tony Hadley, Caro Emerald, Sandie Shaw, Mica Paris and Alexandra Burke at a concert in aid of World Hunger Day. It takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday 28th May.

This spectacular evening with full orchestra will see Dionne Warwick and her friends perform some once in a lifetime live duets and solo performances of songs that have become part of the soundtrack to our lives. These will include Dionne’s instantly recognisable collaborations with Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Barry Manilow and The Bee Gees.

The Hunger Project is an International Non-Governmental Organisation committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. In Africa, South Asia and Latin America, The Hunger Project seeks to end hunger and poverty by empowering people to lead lives of self-reliance, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children.
