Brilliant news hope it comes to Theatre Royal Newcastle even settle for Empire Theatre Sunderland.
Wonder if Joe auditioned for "Tommy" & "Joseph" or was he approached to do the shows, any one know.

I do hope this comes to the Mayflower in Southampton.   It is the biggest theatre in the area and has lots of shows like this.

A punishing schedule at Glasgow - 2 shows a day and 3 on the Saturday!!

Is this 'normal'?

How long can a cast keep that up for!

Does anyone know how big Joe's part is?

Have  seen Joseph @ the Sunderland Empire , it 's a few years ago , from what I can remember , do think Joe's role is a major one -

Am fairly sure , got a DVD of this , with Donny Osmond playing the role of Joseph   :)

Well, he is Joseph and the musical is titled JOSEPH and that coat  ;)

But i have seen more challenging parts, for starters the musical is not the longest, and has a lot of cast numbers... but he is on stage a lot, and gets to sing the most famous songs...with Close Every Door as the highlight.. for me  :D

It is a major role and perfect for Joe. The songs will really suit his voice. There's two particularly poignant songs - Close Every Door to Me, and Any Dream Will Do plus many other songs. The acting is not too complex and it doesn't matter that he is on the short side.
Joseph and the Narrator are the two main roles and carry the show, with cameo numbers from Pharoah and the brothers.

Louise - with the touring production there are days between venues/destinations while the production team assemble the stage etc. so the cast do get slightly more time off (non-show days) than an average West End or similar production.

What I like about this musical is how many styles of music there are in it.   There is an Apache dance, a calypso (Benjamin Calypso) and many others, not to mention Pharoah as Elvis!
