Enjoying the Commonwealth Games sad it's coming to an end. Looking forward to Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea in September! :pompoms: :malaysianflag:

I saw this on the news. Sadly this young man's anger clouded his judgement and he paid with his life.

It's sad what happened to him but he shouldn't have walked out into oncoming traffic, you wouldn't do that on a highway, why on a track? :dontknow:

Also well done to Mo Farah and Andy Vernon, gold and silver in the 10K!   James Desoala (sp?) in the 100 metres, gold!  And another gold for Tiffany (something) in the 100 hurdles.

What a class act  :ten:
"our"  Dafne Schippers won the 100meters sprint AND the 200 meters. Gold at the European championships Athletics. That gold medal 100 meters was the first time in 52 (!) years since Fanny Blankers Koen won it.

Dafne is a star in doing Hepathlon, which is highly acclaimed amongst athletes. She has a huge decision to make...specialise in the sprint (100 and 200 meters) ...but that will make her have to give up the hepathlon.

It was an impressive 200m sprint from her last night in a time of 22.03 (and another impressive win from Hassan in the 1500 - love the way she comes from the back to win).  One option for Schippers would be to carry on in heptathlon as they have fewer chances to compete and run a few Diamond League sprints before making her final decision.  It was good to see Jodie Williams follow up on her Commonwealth silver with another silver here too.

Impressed with Adam Gemili's run in the Men's 200 - sub 20s. He is a great ambassador for the sport too.

Looking forward to seeing Eilidh Child in the 400 hurdles this afternoon.

Watching the women's marathon at the moment.

GB top the medal table with 12 golds (ahead of France) with their most successful European Championships to date.  There was an influx of golds this afternoon with 3 relay golds, Greg Rutherford in the Long Jump and Mo Farah in the 5k.  Three bronzes in the 4x400 relay, 5k and 1500m.
